Pro-Organic Belize endorses Growers’ Association
San Ignacio, Cayo. Thursday, April 23, 2015. The San Antonio Cayo Organic Growers Association has received a key endorsement that basically paves the way for full organic certification.
Now exactly when that certification will take place is not known, but the fact that the group known as Pro-Organic Belize has given a thumbs-up to the group puts it one step closer to that goal.
Bart Mickler is the media officer for Pro-Organic Belize.
Mickler says that consumers can get approved farm produce on Saturday at the Market in San Ignacio town and at the same time get to meet foundation members for the San Antonio Cayo Organic Growers Association.
A press release sent out this afternoon is asking consumers to be on the lookout in the coming days for vendors who display signs signifying “Belizean Grown- Transitional Organic endorsed by Pro-Organic”.
