San Ignacio cop accused of sexual assault

Police in San Ignacio town have arrested and charged one of their own after a teenage girl alleges that he sexually assaulted her.
The accused has been identified as PC Rupert Thomas, 28.
The allegation is that the fourteen year old girl was asleep in bed around 4:30 am on Tuesday, when she was awaken by someone touching her private parts.
The 14 year old girl identified PC Thomas as the man who was fondling her.
Police have since arrested and charged 28 year old Rupert Thomas Belizean Police Officer for the crime of Aggravated Assault of an indecent nature.
