Belize City woman seriously injured in shooting incident

Belize City, Belize. Wednesday, April 15, 2015. A shooting incident in Belize City last night has left a woman hospitalized in a critical but stable condition.
Thirty seven year old Stephanie Bood was shot to the right hand and the lower back.
According to police reports, Bood was walking on Freedom Street around nine thirty last night, when as she reached the corner of Louise Bevans Street, a vehicle approached and several shots were fired from inside the vehicle.
Bood was injured and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where police say she is admitted in a critical but stable condition.
Police investigations continue.
