Belmopan. Friday, May 8, 2015. Keron Tzul from the Centro Escolar Mexico Junior College has won the logo competition that was sponsored by the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Council.

The competition was held between October and December of last year featuring secondary school students and those attending tertiary level institutions.

Second place in the competition was won by Cindy Acevedo of the Belmopan Baptist High School and third place winner is Donovan Lisbey from the Mopan Technical High School.

The prizes, which include electronics, will be handed over to the students during an award ceremony on May 15 at the George Price Center in Belmopan.

Organizers say that competition was designed to come up with a logo and slogan that would brand the council and making it easily recognized as the legislative body in the fight against trafficking in persons and educating students about the scourge of human trafficking in Belize.

According to a press release announcing the winners of the logo competition, “the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Council, a multi-sectoral body, remains committed to carrying out its duty as the statutory entity charged with combating human trafficking in Belize.”
