Murder in Ladyville village

Ladyville village. Sunday, May 10, 2015. One person is detained pending charge, following a fatal shooting incident on Saturday morning in Ladyville village, Belize district.
The victim has been identified as 60 year old Daniel Trapp, a resident of Egbert Quilter Avenue in Ladyville village.
Police say that when they responded to reports of a shooting incident around 9:20 am on Saturday, they found Trapp lying on the ground at the intersection of Dawn and Perez roads.
He had been shot to the chest.
Trapp was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial hospital for medical treatment but he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations continue.
