Police make arrest in Independence village shooting
Independence, Stann Creek. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Two days after an early morning shooting incident in Independence village, Stann Creek, police have arrested and charged one person.
26 year old Albert Moody, Jr., a resident of the Waterside area of Independence village has been charged with five counts of attempted murder, two counts of harm, one count of wounding, use of deadly means of harm and damage to property.
The charges stem from an incident around 12:30 am on Monday.
Twenty six year old Victor Cuevas of Monkey River village, Stann Creek, was driving his vehicle from the stadium area into Fadden Avenue when several gunshots were fired and his vehicle glass was shattered.
Two of the passengers in Cuevas’ vehicle sustained minor injuries.
