Belmopan. Monday, June 8, 2015. The Honorable the Speaker of the House of Representatives Mr. Michael Peyrifitte has accepted with immediate effect, the resignation of the Honorable member for Dangriga Mr. Ivan Ramos.

The resignation letter from Ramos was received this morning by the Clerk to the House of Representatives Eddie Webster who immediately informed the Speaker who is currently out of the country attending an ACP Meeting in Fiji.

A statement from the office of the Clerk says that in accordance with Section 126 of the Belize Constitution, the resignation of Ramos as Dangriga Area Representative was accepted by the Speaker.
