On Tuesday, the Police’s Quick Response Team on the Peninsula conducted several searches in Seine Bight for drugs.
According to reports received, they found this object, which from all accounts, appears to be part of a makeshift object adopted for use as a handmade firearm.
The homemade gun was retrieved and taken to the Placencia Police station where it was labeled as found property.
Around four thirty yesterday afternoon, the Placencia Quick Response Team was led to an area behind the cemetery in Independence Village where they found a nine millimeter pistol containing an empty magazine.
Police say the weapon was found wrapped in a plastic bag and hidden inside a culvert.
