Belize City youth faces attempted murder charge
Belize City, BELIZE. Friday, November 6, 2015. A Belize City man has been arrested and charged for the offence of Attempted Murder.
This follows a shooting incident early on Wednesday morning.
Eighteen year old Trevor Yard Junior sustained a gunshot wound to the left upper side of the groin area in the shooting which happened around 2:20 on Wednesday morning.
According to police investigations, Yard was walking on Freetown Road towards Kelly Street when he was approached by a man who took out a firearm and fired a single shot causing his injury.
Police have since arrested and charged twenty two year old Malcolm Myers for the crimes of attempted murder, grievous harm and use of deadly means of harm.
