New ambulances pressed into service
Belmopan, CAYO. Wednesday, November 11, 2015. The Ministry of Health today deployed a fleet of new ambulances for use across the country.
Formal handing over of the 6 new ambulances was done this morning in Belmopan by Minister of Health Pablo Marin and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ramon Figueroa.
The new ambulances, according to a government press release, the acquisition of the new ambulances is part of efforts to enhance Belize’s health system and to compliment and improve the services offered at regional health clinics and hospitals.
The keys to the new ambulances were handed over to the regional managers and administrators to be deployed to Punta Gorda town, San Antonio, Toledo, Independence, Dangriga, Orange Walk and San Ignacio.
