Youth charged for keeping unlicensed firearm
Belize City, BELIZE. Thursday, November 19, 2015. Police in Belize City have arrested and charged one man for the offence of keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
Dennis Talbert Junior was arrested after an early morning search of his home on Benbow Street in Belize City last Wednesday (November 11) resulted in the discovery of a point 38 Colt brand revolver with two live rounds of ammunition.
The police press officer says that when authorities arrived at Talbert’s house and knocked on the front door, access was denied to the police.
That was when members of the Gang Suppression Team forced open the door and saw when Talbert was disposing of an object resembling a firearm through a window.
Twenty yer old Dennis Talbert Junior was subsequently arrested and charged for kept firearm and ammunition without a gun license.
