Murder charges for Santa Elena youth
San Ignacio, CAYO. Friday, January 8, 2016. TNC: Two teenagers, one of them a minor, were today escorted to the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court where they were formally arraigned on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Due to his age, the 16 year old cannot be named; but the second person charged has been identified as 19 year old Brandon Anderson, a resident of La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena town.
Due to the nature of the charges, no plea was taken from the two teenagers and they were remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
Deputy Commander of San Ignacio Police Assistant Superintendent Reymundo Reyes shares the details.
Assistant Superintendent Reyes says that as part of the investigation leading up to the arrest and charging of the two teenagers, the medical examiner found that Matthiew Klinck was stabbed multiple times.
Both teenagers charged have been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until their next court appearance on April twelfth.
TNC News understands that family members for Matthiew Klinck have started to arrive in the country and a memorial mass is scheduled for Saturday.
