New officers join the rank and file of the Police Department
Belmopan, CAYO. Wednesday, October 12, 2016. New members have joined the ranks of the Belize Police Department.
Members of Recruit Intake #93 graduated today from the National Police Training Academy in Belmopan.
They underwent 18 weeks of vigorous training, which included the Constitution, public relations and physical fitness.
According to reports from Belmopan, 166 new police officers, including 50 women received their commission today and have been deployed to formations all over the country.
The graduates were addressed by Minister of Home Affairs Godwin Hulse and welcomed to the Belize Police department by Commissioner of Police Allen Whylie.
Two of the graduates Constables Darwin McFadzean and Alex Arnold received public citations for their exemplary accomplishments during training.
