Government vehicle stolen in San Ignacio town
San Ignacio, CAYO. Monday, January 16, 2017. The vehicle fleet belonging to the Government of Belize is again the target for thieves.
The latest vehicle stolen is a 2014 silver 4-door Hilux pickup truck.
It was parked at the compound of the San Ignacio Community Hospital, but on Friday morning the Deputy Regional Health manager got a call from her staff that the vehicle had been stolen.
The vehicle, which carried license plate number BC B-2009, is valued at $62,500.
San Ignacio police have since contacted their counterparts in Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala as investigation of this latest theft of a motor vehicle continues.
