Armed robbery in Orange Walk
Corozal town, COROZAL. Wednesday, January 18, 2017. There was an armed robbery late Tuesday night in Orange Walk town.
It happened at a bar on Fonseca Street in Orange Walk.
Police say that two men went into the Black and White bar and held up the establishment, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Orange Walk police have since detained a Belize City youth pending charges.
Authorities say that at the time of his detention, the twenty two year old man was found to be carrying a magazine containing fifteen 9-millimeter rounds of ammunition and $115 in cash.
His accomplished managed to escape capture. Investigations continue.
