Ambassadors from 4 nations present credentials
Belmopan, CAYO. Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Four new members have joined the ranks of the Diplomatic Corps in Belize.
On Monday, the representatives of Israel, Norway, the Slovak Republic and Italy, presented their credentials to Governor General Sir Colville Young, accrediting them as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Representing Israel is Ambassador Jonathan Peled.
The representative of Norway in Belize is Merethe Nergaard.
Alena Gazurova is the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Belize; and Luigi Maccotta is Italy’s new Ambassador to Belize.
At the presentation of credentials at Belize House in Belmopan, the Ambassadors all expressed their pleasure in being a representative of their respective countries in Belize.
The ambassadors each conveyed their countries’ interests in continuing to strengthen bilateral relations and encourage new areas of development with Belize.
The Governor General warmly welcomed and received the Ambassadors’ credentials.
