Corozal man charged for drug trafficking
Corozal Town, COROZAL. Monday, January 30, 2017. A Corozal man has been charged for the offence of drug trafficking after police caught him trying to dispose of a bag of marijuana.
29 year old Alexander Francis was charged after police intercepted him on Friday afternoon on the road linking San Andres and Xaibe villages.
Francis was riding a bicycle and police say that when he saw the mobile patrol, he dropped a greenback he was carrying and escaped into nearby bushes.
Police say they retrieved the bag and when they opened it, they found 2 and a quarter pounds of Marijuana.
Francis was later apprehended, arrested and charged for the offence of drug trafficking.
