A Cold Front Is Expected For Later Today
The sun is out this Monday, a welcome relief from the rain, but don’t put away your
rain gears just yet.
A cold front will cross Belize later today and tonight.
And with it is coming wind, rain and cool temperatures for the major part of the week.
The general forecast, which covers the period up to Wednesday is calling for cloudy to overcast skies, with some outbreaks of showers.
Periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, but more so over the south and coastal areas of the country.
Then conditions are expected to deteriorate as the cold front approaches and moves across the country..
The sea condition will be choppy becoming rough tonight.
The Belize Weather Bureau has issued a small craft warning for rough seas starting tonight.
It will be a chilly 60°Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south of the country.
There was a low tide at 7:51 am today.
A high tide will occur at 2:03 pm and another low tide at 8:26 pm.
The extended forecast, valid through to Wednesday is for cloudy to overcast skies and windy conditions.
Expect some outbreaks of showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, especially over the south and the coast.
