A Man Was Knock Down On The Southern Highway
A man had died after being knocked down on the Southern Highway.
The victim has been identified as 61 year old Juan Oh, a resident of Santa Rosa village in the Stann Creek district.
Oh was riding his bicycle near Mile 23 on the Southern Highway just before 6 o’clock on Monday morning when he was knocked down by motorcycle.
The driver of the motorcycle, 18 year old Freddy Acosta, is telling police that he was traveling towards Santa Rosa village when Oh attempted to cross the road and the collision occurred.
Juan Oh sustained head and body injuries, while Acosta suffered abrasions to his knee, elbow and wrist.
Juan Oh was taken first to the Southern Regional Hospital and later to the Karl Heusner Memorial in Belize City where he died.
Police investigation of the early morning traffic incident continues.
