American fugitive caught in San Ignacio, returned to USA

An American man wanted for murder in the US was caught last week in San Ignacio town, Cayo.
Everett James Morris, according to Action 4 News, surrendered to authorities at the US embassy in Belmopan after he was tracked down through the collaborative effort of the Belize police, US Marshals and Interpol.
According to media reports in Houston, Morris faces a murder charge for the September 10 death of Jose Rodriguez Olivarez.
Olivarez’ body was found in a field close to the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge.
Morris was returned to Houston, Texas on October 16 and is expected to appear before a judge at the Hidalgo County jail today.
