Armed robbery reported in Placencia village

There was an armed robbery today, Monday, December 9, 2013 in Placencia village, Stann Creek district.
Reports received say the robbery happened beside the Tipsy Tuna and was carried out by a single gunman.
A source says that after the robbery, the alleged perpetrator escaped on foot and is believed to have caught a taxi out of Placencia.
It is suspected that the alleged armed robber is from Dangriga, and police on the Placencia Peninsula have enlisted the assistance of their counterparts in Dangriga town in their search for a person of interest who they believe can assist in the investigation of this broad daylight armed robbery.
