BCVI Summer Camp underway in Belize City
Belize City, BELIZE. Wednesday, July 16, 2018. The annual Belize Council for the Visually Impaired, (BCVI) summer camp continues in Belize City.
The camp is catering to twenty children who are blind and their parents/guardians.
The BCVI summer camp is being held at the Stella Maris compound in Belize City.
The camp features activities that teach the participants Math, English and Computer skills.
Facilitators of
the summer camp are staff of BCVI and volunteers.
The camp ends on Sunday morning.
The Belize Council for the Visually Impaired, BCVI, has been holding summer camps for its clients and others who are blind or visually impaired for two decades.
BCVI is a nonprofit organization that provides rehabilitation and education services year round for all Belizeans who are blind. All of the services, equipment, Braille textbooks and laptops are offered free of cost to those in the programme.
BCVI relies on donations to keep the service alive.
