Belize accredits ambassador to Nicaragua
Belmopan, CAYO. Thursday, August 1, 2019. Belize’s non-resident Ambassador to Nicaragua, Alexis Rosado, has been accredited.
Ambassador Rosado, who is resident in Guatemala City, presented his Credentials to the President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega on Tuesday in Managua.
In accepting the Belizean diplomat, President Ortega spoke of “the historic close ties of friendship and cooperation that happily exist between the governments and people of Belize and Nicaragua.”
Of note is that during his visit to Nicaragua, Ambassador Rosado also witnessed the formalization of Belize’s Honorary Consul in Nicaragua Maurice Moran with the government of Nicaragua.
An official government press release says that Ambassador Rosado had meetings with Vice President Rosario Murillo Zambrana and that country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Rosado was accompanied on the visit to Nicaragua by First Secretary Luis Enrique Verde and Military Attaché, Lt. Col. Ricardo Leal.
