Belize City businessman charged for the crime of harm
Belize City businessman Gilroy Usher, Sr was arraigned in Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of harm, reportedly stemming from an alleged domestic dispute with his wife on Monday.
According to court reports, Usher, who contested the Port Loyola seat in 2012 general elections for the PUP pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered and met bail in the amount of $900 plus one surety of the same amount.
Reports are that a condition of the bail for Usher is that he enroll in a batterer’s intervention program with the Women’s Department and furthermore that he does not interfere with the complainant and that he move out of the couple’s house in Madam Liz Avenue in Belize City.
