Belize City man caught with unlicensed revolver
Belize City, BELIZE. Tuesday, January 24, 2017. Twenty one year old Belize City resident Kadeem Anderson is in trouble with the police after he was busted trying to get rid of a .38 calibre revolver.
Police say that around 1:34 pm on Monday, they were conducting patrols on Iguana Street in Belize City when they intercepted Anderson who was riding a bicycle on Curassow Street.
Upon seeing the police, Anderson reportedly jumped off his bicycle and ran into a yard and was seen throwing an object over a fence.
Authorities managed to apprehend Anderson and he was taken to where he had thrown the object, which turned out to be a Smith and Wesson revolver with a wooden handle and loaded with 6 live rounds of ammunition.
Kadeem Anderson was subsequently arrested and charged for the offence of keeping a firearm without a gun license and keeping ammunition without a gun license.
