Police are looking for two men who held up and robbed a businesswoman of Belize City.
The incident happened just before midday on Thursday morning at Kevin’s shop on Campos Avenue in Belize City.
Police say the owner of the establishment, Mei Yint Kuant, reported that she went outside of her shop and upon entering, was accosted by a man of dark complexion who was armed with a black handgun.
The gunman reportedly ordered Mei not to close the door and then pusher her inside. Another man reportedly entered the house and Mei was ordered to get on the floor.
The two men then reportedly searched the house and made good their escape with assorted items and cash amounting to a total value of $6,030.
According to police, the thieves not only took the money from the cash register, they took the whole machine, in addition to a laptop computer.
Police investigations continue.
