Belize Jaguars team advances in World Cup qualifying tournament
In other news from the world of sport, the Belize Jaguars team has advanced to the next round of the 2018 World Cup qualifying tournament.
This follows a 1 to 1 draw last night in the second of the home and away serried between the Jaguars and the national team from the Cayman Islands.
The game was played last night at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.
Cayman striker Mark Ebanks scored the first goal of the ballgame in the fifth minute of the game giving the Cayman Islands team the one nil lead.
In the twentieth minute of the ballgame, Belize evened the score when Elroy Kuylen scored the equalizing goal for Belize on a free kick.
The Belize Jaguars will now face the Dominican Republic national team in the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament in June.
