Belizeans chosen to take part in Japan exchange program
Belize City, BELIZE. Wednesday, March 2. 2016. Four Belizeans have been chosen to take part in a two-week exchange program between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Cecy Castillo, Christa Hulse, Donghoon Choe and Raphael Martinez were chosen to be a part of the Juntos Program which is designed to promote further understanding of the Japanese society, history, culture, politics and foreign policy.
During their time in Japan, the Belizean participants will also serve to help to deepen relations between Japan and Latin America and the Caribbean as ambassadors of their country.
This is the first time that Belize is taking part in the program, and the four participants were chosen from a field of sixty persons who applied for the exchange program.
The group of Belizean participants in the Juntos program today paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wilfred Elrington.
