Belizeans killed in Lehigh Acres, Florida
San Ignacio, Cayo. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Two Belizeans were among the victims of a triple homicide on Tuesday in Lehigh Acres, Florida.
Thirty seven year old Dorla Hyde Pitts, her 17 year old daughter Starlette and the teenager’s boyfriend 19 year old Myke Kelly were found dead inside their home on Tuesday morning.
A one year old child was found alive in inside the house when police arrived at the scene, following a report from neighbors.
According to reports, Dorla Hyde’s nephew Brian Hyde, was caught driving his aunt’s SUV on Tuesday evening and he was arrested by police because he was driving without a license.
Brian Hyde lived at the same house where the triple homicide took place.
According to reports, he moved into the house about 7 months ago.
A motive for the triple homicide has not yet been revealed by police in Florida.
Dorla Hyde Pitts migrated to the United States over a decade ago and is originally from Roaring Creek village, Cayo.
