Bella Vista community unites for a worthy cause
Bella Vista, Stann Creek. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Oftentimes we hear people and organizations complaining about the things they need and the lack of resources to obtain these necessities.
But one school in the south is not waiting around for a handout.
The Bella Vista Primary School has organized a weekend expo to raise funds for improvement projects, including new classrooms and to make the school compound more secure for the children.
Principal of the Our Lady of Bella Vista R.C. School Saira Gutierrez told us about this first of its kind Expo.
According to Gutierrez the Expo on Sunday will feature various activities for everyone, including the children.
Gutierrez says that the activities for the Expo actually start on Saturday night with a grand disco, featuring the Sweet Pain band. Bella Vista village is located on the Southern Highway just past the Independence village junction.
