The family of 59 year old Romaldo “Romi” Badillo is appealing for the public’s assistance to get him urgent treatment following a terrible boat accident on Thursday afternoon.
Badillo, received second and third degree burns in an explosion around 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon in the sea near the Municipal Airstrip in Belize City.
Three other men who were on board the vessel when the explosion occurred were also taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to a GoFundMe appeal launched online, Badillo’s family says they need at least US$200,000 to be able to take the veteran boat captain to the United States for treatment.
