Businessman accused of aggravated assault of his patrons
Punta Gorda town, Toledo. Thursday, June 11, 2015. A Punta Gorda businessman has been detained by police pending investigations of aggravated assault.
Thirty six year old Jin Zhou is accused of hitting one of his patrons in the face with a firearm.
Police say that 29 year old Edward Bochub was leaving a nightclub on Front Street in PG around 9:30 last night when he was accosted by the Jin Zhou who carried a firearm.
Bochub told police that Jin Zhou demanded that he pay for a couple of beers; but when Bochub denied owing for the beverages and got into his vehicle, Jin Zhou allegedly put the gun to Bochub’s head and hit his companion in the face.
Police say that in addition to detaining Jin Zhou, they have retrieved a 9 millimeter pistol and a magazine containing 9 live rounds of ammunition.
The investigation by police continues.
