Businessman says cargo truck destroyed his establishment
The proprietors of a small business establishment in Punta Gorda town are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the owner/driver of a cargo truck which they claim wrecked their building earlier this month.
The incident happened on the morning of Saturday, November 9 and left Alg’s Snack shop in ruins.
Apparently the cargo truck either backed into the structure or somehow drove too close to it and tore it down.
The proprietors have obtained and released surveillance photos in the hopes that someone will help them to identify the culprit in this incident.
The proprietors say the wreck caused by the cargo truck has rendered their business non-operational and the family says they have invested close to $15,000 to build what was torn down.
Anyone with information that could assist in locating the person responsible for the damage is asked to call the Punta Gorda police station or telephone number: 661-7552.
