Charged for the murder of his uncle Michael Bucknor

Sydney Bucknor, 20, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged for the murder of his uncle Michael Bucknor, 61. Michael Bucknor was shot and killed on Thursday night on Faber’s Road in Belize City. Sydney Bucknor was additionally charged for the crimes of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and wounding. The additional charges are related to the grazing of a woman who was talking with Michael Bucknor when he was fatally wounded on Thursday night. Because of the nature of the charges, no plea was taken from Sydney Bucknor and he was remanded to the Belize Central Prison in Hattieville until his next court appearance on August 27th.
