Child hit by car; suffers fractured leg

A 6 year old was hit by a car on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Elena, town, Cayo. Initial information says that the incident happened around 4 pm by a hardware store in the town.
It appears that the boy was crossing the George Price Highway when he was hit by a car and suffered a fractured left leg.
The child remains under observation at the hospital.
Police have issued the driver of the car with a notice of intendended prosecution, meaning that charges could be filed at a later date.
