Community Policing program contributes to home for the elderly
By Patrick E. Jones on February 15, 2016
San Ignacio, CAYO. Monday, February 15, 2016. Residents of the Octavia Waight Center in San Ignacio town are the beneficiaries of a community outreach from the San Ignacio police.
Over the weekend, a contingent of two dozen police officers, led by Corporal Ciriaco Media, visited the institution to hand over a donation of food supplies, including flour and a crate of fruits.
The donation, which was warmly received by the management of the Octavia Waight Center, is part of the Community-oriented policing program.
The Octavia Waight Center is a facility that provides residential care for elderly men and women.
