Corozal man accused of sexually abusing his young daughter
A man from Patchakan village in the Corozal district is being sought by police on suspicion that he sexually assaulted his 8 year old daughter.
Because of the nature of the case, the name of the father cannot be released, but reports from police say that the little girl, in the company of her mother went to the police station on Monday to report the atrocious act.
According to the girl, the abuse started at the end of November, 2012.
The girl told police that she was asleep in her bed when she was awakened by her father fondling her.
The girl further reported that the fondling continue up until Sunday, October 6, which is the last time that the abuse happened.
Aside from fondling her, the little girl told police that her father also performed oral sex on her.
Police say that a preliminary medical examination of the child confirmed that no hymen is present, but the police report ends by saying that the report “shows no signs of manipulation.”
Police are now looking for the father of the child.
