Decomposed body found in Spanish Lookout
Spanish Lookout, CAYO. Wednesday, December 9, 2015. The decomposed body of a man was found last night in Spanish Lookout, Cayo.
The identity of the man, believed to be of Hispanic descent, has not yet been determined.
Police say they were called out to an area known as Mennonite Beach in Spanish Lookout around 8:45 pm on Tuesday where they found the body on a feeder road leading to the Belize River.
The body was nude and authorities say that an open wound was observed on the left side of his head near his ear.
Police say the as yet unidentified man appears to be in his early forties.
As there were no identification found with the body, and police are currently posted at the area awaiting the arrival of the pathologist for an on-site post mortem examination.
Police investigations continue.
