Division 1 volleyball competition coming to Belize City
The Belize District Volleyball Association today announced the start of its Open Division 1 male and female tournaments is the first weekend in February.
The tournament will commence with a 2-day marathon featuring all of the participating teams.
A press release from the BDVA says that the male teams are: Jaguars (defending champions), Scorpions, S.Q. Dragons, Team Blingz and Rebels.
The female teams are: Lady Jaguars (defending champions), Moen Stars, S.Q. Stars, Warriors and Belmopan Mystics.
Games for the marathon weekend are scheduled to start at 7 pm on Saturday, February 8 and at 9 am on Sunday, February 9.
The marathon will be held at the Belize Elementary School Auditorium and an entrance fee of $5 is required for those wishing to attend. Food and drinks will be on sale.
The Belize District volleyball Association says that the regular season will commence on Saturday, February 15.
