Early morning anti-drug operation results in three arrests
An early morning police operation on the Placencia Peninsula today resulted in the arrest of three persons on drugs charges.
The anti-drug operation involved the Placencia polive as well as the Special Branch.
According to the police press officer, several houses were searched, but when they got to the home of Julian Diego, 18, they found three separate parcels of marijuana in one of the bedrooms.
Present at the time of the search, apart from Diego, were Billy Bernardez, 26 and Emilio Sandoval, 31. All three men, and the bags of marijuana were taken to the police station.
When weighed, the first parcel amounted to 201.6 grams, the second one amounted to 11.2 grams and the third parcel weighed in at 38.6 grams.
Diego, Bernardez and Sandoval were arrested and jointly charged for the crimes of drug trafficking and possession of controlled drugs.
