Early morning murder in San Ignacio
A man was killed early this morning on Monday morning San Ignacio town. The victim has been identified as Jorge Tzib, 28, a resident of the Shawville area.
Police say they found Tzib’s body between the Red Cross and Office Gurus buildings on Joseph Andrews Drive around 1:55 am today.
It was dressed in a short black pants and grey sleeveless shirt.He was barefoot and had a knapsack on his back. Police say that they observed multiple stab wounds and Tzib’s throat had been slit.
Initial police investigations revealed that Tzib was walking in the area around 1:30 am when he was attacked and fatally wounded.
Police have since detained one person as their investigation of the murder continues.
