Early morning shooting incident in Ladyville
Ladyville, Belize District. Saturday, June 6, 2015. A man was shot early this morning in Ladyville village, Belize District.
The victim has been identified as 29 year old Abraham Leslie.
Reports are that Leslie was riding his bicycle on a street in the Mitchell Estate area of Ladyville around 1:30 this morning when he was intercepted bya car.
The car, according to police, came from the opposite direction and the occupants opened fire, hitting Leslie multiple times.
Police say when they visited the Belize Defence Force Medical Hospital, they observed Leslie undergoing treatment with gunshot wounds to both arms.
Police also say that they have detained two men pending investigations.
