Earthquake kills thousands in Nepal
By Patrick E. Jones on April 26, 2015
A massive earthquake on Saturday in Nepal has killed over three thousand people and left over six thousand injured.
International news reports say that in some cases as many as 80% of homes in rural parts of the country have been damaged or destroyed.
Deaths have also been reported in neighboring China and India due to the earthquake which measures 7.8 pm the Richter scale.
Rescue efforts are still underway to retrieve people still buried under rubble and a huge humanitarian effort has started to get assistance to those affected by what has been described as the worst earthquake to hit Nepal in 8 decades.
