El Salvador offers scholarships to Belizean doctors
Belmopan, Belize. Friday, August 21, 2015. Belizean doctors are being offered scholarships to pursue professional development training in various medical speciality areas.
The offer comes from the government of El Salvador.
Minister of Health Pablo Marin recently concluded a 3-day official visit to San Salvador at the invitation of his Salvadoran counterpart Dr. Elvia Violeta Menjivar.
Also during the August 12th – August 14th visit, Minister Marin was informed that El Salvador will be sending a medical team to Belize at the end of August to offer free medical care for Belizeans.
An official release from the Government Press Office notes that Minister Marin’s trip to El Salvador last week “allowed for further discussions to finalize a Memorandum of Understanding for mutual health benefits in human resource development and information sharing between both countries.”
