Fair and cool weather blankets Belize
San Ignacio, CAYO. Saturday, January 23, 2016. TNC: Weather conditions are fair, cool and dry over most parts of Belize today.
And these conditions will prevail heading into the new week.
The general forecast for Belize and her coastal waters is for variably cloudy skies accompanied by cool temperatures.
Winds are northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots, with occasional higher gusts.
Sea conditions are moderate becoming rough at times. Mariners are advised to exercise caution in rough sea.
It is currently a comfortable 75 degrees Fahrenheit countrywide.
But that temperature will fall to 62 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast tonight. Inland it will be a chilly 52 degrees Fahrenheit. Up in the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south, it will be a cold 48 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fisher folks can expect a low tide at 3:20 pm. A high tide occurs at 9:40 pm.
The sunset today is at 5:43 pm. The moon rises at 5:37 pm today. Sunrise on Sunday is at 6:26 am.
The extended forecast, valid through to Monday afternoon is for fair, cool and dry weather conditions to prevail.
