Fatal shooting incident in Belize City

Belize City, Belize. Thursday, May 21, 2015. Two persons are in police detention pending investigations of a murder last night in Belize City.
Twenty six year old Kareem Grant dies while undergoing medical treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital at 10:45 pm yesterday.
He had been shot multiple times earlier in the night.
Police say that at about 8:25 pm, several gunshots were heard inside of a fenced yard at the corner of Mahogany and Periwinkle Streets and shortly after, Grant was found mortally wounded.
Police say they have recovered five 9-millimeter expended shells from the scene of the shooting.
Investigations continue.
