Father accused of incest in Corozal

A man from Xiabe village, Corozal is in police detention, accused of having sexual relations with his 13 year old daughter. 

Police say that on Monday, the girl was visiting her father in Xiabe village and when the mother went to pick her up, a disturbing discovery was made. 

Police say the mother reported to them that she found her daughter lying on her father’s bed. 

The teenager, according to the report made to the police, appeared to be highly under the influence of alcohol and did not have on her skirt and underwear. 

The mother took the girl to the Corozal Community Hospital, where police say that a doctor certified that the 13 year old girl is carnally known. 

A more startling allegation made by the 13 year old girl is that her father had been sexually abusing her from age of 6 years old. 

The father of the girl is in police detention pending investigation of incest.
