Belmopan, CAYO. Saturday, November 28, 2015. Three families are tonight mourning the death of three young ladies who resided at the Youth Hostel at mile 21 on the George Price Highway.

The three young ladies perished late this afternoon when one of the buildings where at the Youth Hostel Compound was gutted by fire.

The three young ladies were somehow trapped inside the burning building and witnesses to the tragedy said they heard the desperate cries for help from the young ladies; but they perished before they could be rescued.

Nothing official from the officials in charge of the facility has said as yet, and speculation is running rife about the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.

We await official comment on the incident.
