Fire destroys building at lumber yard in Spanish Lookout
By Patrick E. Jones on September 25, 2017
The fire happened at Midwest Lumber Yard on Center Road in Spanish Lookout.
Authorities say they responded to the report of a fire around 9:50 pm and on arrival saw a zinc structure engulfed in flames.
Owner of the establishment, Allan Reimer, told police last night that the lumber dryer was left on and that it had caught on fire.
Reimer estimates the destroyed Lumber Dryer House and equipment damages to be around $20,000.
The building was not insured.
