Belize City, Belize. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Belize City Police say they have removed a firearm and ammunition from the south side of the old capital in the last twenty four hours.
In a brief statement sent out this morning, the police press officer reported that the Eastern Police Division South side Strike Team conducted operations in the south side area of Belize City between 5:00 p.m. on Monday and 10:30 am today where they discovered a 9 millimeter handgun, one .38 millimeter revolver and flare gun, also known as a pen gun, along with several rounds of ammunition.
Police say they also discovered 600 grams of Cannabis.
No one was in the immediate area so firearms, ammunition and drugs were labelled and deposited as “FOUND PROPERTY.”
